Refund policy

We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return (with the exception of items sent from Canada that have a 7 day return policy).

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase including any sku, ra or rma number of the item. If any item is not in it’s original packaging a 10%-40% restocking fee (depending on the vendor) may apply. Please contact us so we can check the vendor’s policy or check here:

To start a return, you can contact us at info@villagehomefurniture.com. Please note that returns will need to be sent to the vendor. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and inform the driver if the item is incorrect or damaged in any way and that you will not accept the item. Contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. If you refuse an item without the item being damaged you could be charged a 20% restocking fee as well as shipping costs. Take at least 3 photos of the item including the box for digital photographic evidence. The resolution could be in the form of a refund, exchange or replacement of the item. We are not responsible for return shipping costs and in most cases will be the responsibility of the customer. Also, in most cases, the vendor will not refund the original shipping costs. Any dysfunctional items found after 7-14 days will have to be considered a warranty claim by the vendor depending on their warranty policies. Please contact us with any issues and we will always do our best to work with the vendor the best we can to resolve any issues if at all possible.

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned such as certain sale or clearance items We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item or items.

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Refunds
Refunds will be reviewed on a case by case basis and in accordance with the policies of the vendor. We will notify you once the vendor has received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 30 business days yet most refunds happen within 7 days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
